Don Drake chronicles his life and real estate career alongside the extensive development of Winter Park and Grand County over the last 75 years. He describes his childhood in the mountains, skiing and getting his early schooling in Steamboat Springs and Grand Lake. After youthful military adventures, assorted work ventures and college, he started a family, bought and sold property in the Denver area and in Grand County, and started a restaurant business and a lodge in Grand Lake. He became the first real estate broker to offer year-round real estate service in Grand County.
